"No intervention that takes power away from the survivor can possibly foster her recovery, no matter how much it appears to be in her immediate best interest" ~Judith Herman, M.D.

I am a Certified Facilitator of TCTSY, a specialized, empirically validated clinical intervention for complex trauma and chronic symptoms of PTSD originally developed at The Trauma Center in Brookline, MA.
Certification: 300 hour course over 8 months through the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at Justice Resource Institute.
Incorporating elements from Hatha Yoga, interpersonal and attachment theory, and trauma model theory, TCTSY offers a guided physical form and movement-based intervention to strengthen greater sense of trust and safety within one's own body and self system.
Robust Research:
  • Included in National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP) database published by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
  • 5-year randomized controlled trial study of military veteran participants demonstrated TCTSY as an effective treatment researchers of the study (Emory University, 2021) when compared to Cognitive Processing
  • More rapid symptom improvement
  • Higher participant retention
  • Equally sustained effects
